Through the Lens: The Story of Sulaiman Yahuza Giade and Ahbee Photography

Sulaiman Yahuza Giade grew up in Giade Local Government, Bauchi State. He attended Tsamiyar Zane Primary School and later Government College (Special School) Toro. With a passion for technology, he earned a degree in Information Technology from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. Little did he know, this foundation would later blend seamlessly with his love for photography.

His photography journey began unexpectedly during the COVID-19 pandemic when he was selected for a SMEDAN empowerment program. Over three days, he received basic photography training—just enough to spark his curiosity. What started as a simple introduction soon turned into a deep passion. He dedicated himself to mastering the art, eventually founding Ahbee Photography. Today, Sulaiman is known for capturing powerful moments and telling compelling stories through his lens, making him one of the most sought-after photographers in the region.

The name Ahbee holds a special meaning for him. It originated during his early days at ATBU, where he was close to two classmates. Inspired by a Korean drama, one of them started calling him "Ahbee," and the nickname stuck. When it came time to name his photography business, Ahbee Photography felt like the perfect choice. To Sulaiman, photography is about building meaningful connections, much like the bond that inspired the name.

Over the years, Sulaiman has gained extensive experience in portrait, corporate, and wedding photography, as well as cinematography, particularly drone piloting. His work has led to collaborations with major organizations like the Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Bauchi State Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises. He’s also contributed to impactful films, including Goje, directed by Bright Wonder Obasi.

His IT background has been instrumental in shaping his career. Beyond technical skills like editing and file management, it’s taught him problem-solving, adaptability, and effective communication—skills that have helped him work seamlessly with high-profile clients and organizations. His IT knowledge has also enhanced his online presence and digital marketing strategies, allowing him to connect with a broader audience.

For Sulaiman, photography is more than just taking pictures—it’s about storytelling. He’s driven by the power of visuals to capture emotions, history, and culture in ways words cannot. Whether it’s through documentary work, corporate photography, or cinematography, he sees his camera as a voice that speaks without words. This passion keeps him motivated, pushing him to explore new techniques like drone cinematography and to collaborate with organizations that value impactful imagery.

At Ahbee Photography, Sulaiman stands for impact, storytelling, and authenticity. His work with humanitarian organizations like Sadaqah Welfare Fund has shown him how powerful images can inspire change. Every project is handled with professionalism and innovation, ensuring that each image is not just visually striking but also meaningful.

Building Ahbee Photography hasn’t been without challenges. From competition and financial constraints to managing difficult clients, there were moments he thought of quitting. But he remained committed, relying on creativity and skill to deliver exceptional results. Over time, the brand grew into one known for quality and sincerity, proving that challenges are stepping stones to success.

Looking ahead, Sulaiman’s long-term goal is to establish a creative hub that brings together professionals in photography, cinematography, and related fields. This space will foster learning, collaboration, and innovation, setting new standards in the industry. He also aims to mentor aspiring creatives and expand his reach through global collaborations, making Ahbee Photography a leading name in the next 5–10 years.

One of his most memorable projects was during the 2022 election campaign in Bauchi State. Competing against 267 talented individuals, he won first place and received a brand-new car. That experience was a defining moment, reinforcing his belief in hard work and dedication.

Currently, Sulaiman is working on an exciting project titled "Explore Bauchi." The goal is to showcase the beauty of Bauchi State through photography and cinematography, highlighting its landscapes, culture, and history. By collaborating with creatives and tourism agencies, he hopes to inspire more people to appreciate the state’s uniqueness.

His advice to aspiring photographers is simple: be sincere, respect time, and keep your promises. Photography is a journey that requires patience and dedication. Stay consistent, keep learning, and success will follow. Through Ahbee Photography, Sulaiman has shown that with passion and perseverance, you can turn challenges into opportunities and create a lasting impact through the lens.

The Rise of Aminu Star: A Tale of Passion, Perseverance, and Apple Care Excellence

Let me tell you the story of Aminu Abubakar, a man known to many as Aminu Star. Born and raised in Bauchi, Nigeria, Aminu’s journey is one of determination, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. With a Master’s degree in Management Information Technology from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Aminu’s story is not just about academic achievement but about how he turned his passion for technology into a thriving business.

Aminu’s journey began long before he became a household name in the tech world. As an undergraduate student, he started small, fixing phones—BlackBerry, Nokia, and other basic devices. It was a humble beginning, but it laid the foundation for what would become his life’s work. Over time, his focus shifted to Apple products—iPhones, iMacs, iPads, and Apple Watches. At first, he only repaired these devices, but his expertise and dedication soon set him apart.

He decided to name his business “Apple Care,” a name that reflected his hands-on approach to repairing Apple devices. To make his brand unique, he added “Aminu Star” to it. Today, while you’ll find countless shops with names like “Apple Store” or “Apple Shop,” there’s only one “Apple Care” in town—and that’s Aminu’s.

As the years went by, Aminu’s business evolved. What started as a repair service expanded to include buying, selling, and swapping Apple products. His slogan became: “We buy, we sell, we swap, and we fix anything Apple.” It wasn’t just a business; it was a testament to his growing expertise and his ability to adapt to the needs of his customers.

Aminu’s academic background played a crucial role in his success. With a degree in both management and information technology, he understood the value of strategic planning and the importance of treating every customer with respect. These skills helped him build a business that wasn’t just about profit but about creating value for the people he served.

For Aminu, customer satisfaction has always been the top priority. He believes that a business exists to serve its customers, and he goes out of his way to make them feel valued. But running a business hasn’t been without its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles he’s faced is dealing with customers who promise to pay for goods or services later but fail to follow through. Only about 2% of such customers pay back without issues, while the rest often come up with excuses. Another challenge is customers who leave their phones for repairs and don’t return for years, only to come back demanding their device or compensation.

Through these experiences, Aminu has learned two important lessons. First, if you can’t help someone, don’t harm them. Leave them as you found them. Second, you can’t satisfy everyone. Do your best and leave the rest, because you can’t control everything. These lessons have shaped his approach to business and life.

Looking to the future, Aminu is excited about diversifying into other IT-related fields beyond mobile devices. His upcoming project involves building or renting a larger physical store to address the limitations of his current space. This expansion will allow him to solve problems he hasn’t been able to tackle so far.

To aspiring entrepreneurs, Aminu offers this advice: First, always prioritize customer satisfaction. If your customers are happy, everything else will fall into place. Second, once you earn a customer’s trust, do everything in your power to keep it. Trust, he believes, is the foundation of any successful business.

Aminu Star’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and growth. From fixing phones as a student to building a brand that stands out in the tech industry, he has come a long way. And as he looks to the future, one thing is clear: Aminu Star is just getting started.
